I've heard of ghosts. Good ghosts who wander the battlefields at night, guiding soldiers out of danger. You can see their omens everywhere. Omens, warnings of stray bullets and lurking enemies. If I was such a ghost, I would stay so close to you, you could feel my breath on your cheek.

23. Silly. Red hair. Hufflepuff. Accordions. Harry Potter. Doctor Who. Wild Beasts. Tim&Eric. Metronomy. SNL. Unicorns. Batman. Beards. Pomegranate and Peach flavored anything. The words that come out of my mouth. Laughter. Daydreams.

This EP means the world to me.

I saw Colour Revolt for the first time in late 2005/early 2006 at a little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in town. They opened for Manchester Orchestra. Both bands would go on to play many local shows until ManOrch got big. Unlike ManOrch, (who did recently write a song about us: ‘Pensacola’) CR still comes through every year or so. BUT I DIGRESS. I’ve loved music my whole life, but this was around the time that music was getting GOOD in my tiny town. Local bands were taking it to the next level and up-and-coming touring bands were making their way here. I was 17 and everything was so exciting. This EP became one of the soundtracks to this time in my life and it has stayed a constant.

Tonight I’m seeing Colour Revolt play some songs that I haven’t heard since that very first show. Getting to see this whole EP performed in its entirety will mark this as one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

I really just wanted to gush and plug this ridiculously talented band.
